    Route 105 & 114 (Cross St) Island Pond, VT. looking west. (1959)

    Notice how parking was done back than. Esso Station (Shorty's Garage) on left is now the Ponds Edge Restaurant, the Gulf Station Is now the Lakefront Deli and Fuel, The IH dealer and Blacksmith shop is now the location of the Lakefront Hotel. The small building next to the Pepsi sign was Sherm's which had the best Curly Q's in the world and is now the location of the Gazebo and Town Green. On the right the buildings now located here are the Gervias Ace Hardware, and Brighton Motorsports. The building past the IH dealer is now the Island Pond Tourist Information Center.
