I love the webcam by viewing it from time to time gives me an idea of the area and times to visit when we come up. We live in North Carolina and plan to tour up there this year. Thanks for having it.

I visited Island Pond on a cross-country roadtrip this past summer. Dave from the Clyde River Motel gave me some suggestions of things to do and places to eat while I was at the Visitor's Center. I was just reminded of how much I enjoyed my visit as I was putting a Christmas ornament from there on my tree!! Looking forward to a return visit -

Wow...my cousin and I were just reminiscing about vacationing in VT as kids and she remembered Island Pond which I had forgot the name. I found your site and just viewed the photo gallery. What memories and I'm so glad that some of history and the quaintness remains. I want to come back and visit soon! I remember the wooden bridge and very sad that it was not preserved. I still have a leather 'bag' that my parent's bought for me at a shop right off main street. Actually I think it was marketed as a 'man bag'?? All I know is I loved it .. handcrafted and very unique and now an antique :) ... that was over 40 years ago!
