Your cross country skiing adventure can include a day or more on the Kingdom Trails with over 100 miles of trails of which is a multi use trail system and has been voted as BEST TRAIL NETWORK in North America by Bike Magazine in their annual Reader's Poll. Kingdom Trails was also the Editors' Choice in the 2006 edition of the Yankee Magazine Travel Guide to New England, and in their latest issue of the YANKEE MAGAZINE we were highlighted as one of the ten "Thrills of a Lifetime" for a family getaway in New England.

Kingdom Trails was also named BEST OF NEW ENGLAND by Boston Magazine Travel & Life. They are located in East Burke, Vermont, just a short drive from Island Pond. Enjoy the pastoral and wild setting in the rolling hills of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom while you are MOUNTAIN BIKING, HIKING, TRAIL RUNNING, NORDIC SKIING, and SNOWSHOEING.

You and your family can also visit the The Craftsbury Outdoor Center.

Also located in the heart of Vermont's unspoiled Northeast Kingdom, you'll find some of the finest cross-country skiing in New England. Here at their Nordic Center your and your family will find the Craftsbury Outdoor Center holding many events ranging from a Nordic Marathon, relay events and more.

Hazen's Notch Association in northern Vermont is all about plentiful snow, spectacular scenery, uncrowded trails and friendly people. The cross country ski touring center at Hazen's Notch is blessed with a topography that is ideally suited to nordic skiing - rolling meadows, soft hills, our own 2,800' mountain and views of mountains in all directions.

Located at the top of Vermont in the "Covered Bridge Town" of Montgomery near the Jay Peak Ski Resort, Hazen’s Notch is on the western edge of the beautiful, uncrowded and snowy Northeast Kingdom. The Hazen's Notch / Jay Peak area is known for receiving more snow than any other part of Vermont.

40 Miles of groomed and marked trails pass through 2,500 acres of mixed maple, birch and evergreen forest and across gentle, open meadows. There are spectacular views of Hazen’s Notch and numerous peaks over 3,000’ in elevation in the Jay Range and Cold Hollow Range of the Green Mountains which completely encircle the trail system. As a conservation land trust and environmental education center we design and manage our x-c ski trails to be in harmony with the landscape. Visitors often comment about the varied forest types, numerous animal tracks and careful land stewardship practices that they observe when skiing the Hazen's Notch Trails.
